Rodney T. Robinson was elected to his first term on the Cedar Park City Council, Place 5, in May 2019. His professional career speaks to a lifetime of public service. Rodney enjoys helping others and giving back to the community. He is especially passionate about serving our country.
Rodney has spent the last 21 years serving as a soldier and leader in the United States Army and Texas Army National Guard. He has deployed to Bosnia, South Korea, and twice to Afghanistan. He is Ranger-qualified and a recipient of numerous awards including the Bronze Star for actions while serving in Afghanistan.
Rodney is a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College and earned his Master’s Degree in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas.
Rodney’s local community involvement includes serving as a Watch Dog at Ronald Reagan Elementary School and volunteering for Cub Scout Pack 1501.
Rodney was born in Yoakum, Texas. He and his wife Lachelle, also a soldier assigned to the Texas Army National Guard, have been married since 2002, and moved to the Buttercup Creek subdivision in Cedar Park in 2004. He and Lachelle relocated to Forest Oaks in 2010. They have two sons who attend Ronald Reagan Elementary.
