The City of Cedar Park utilizes the services of several specialized boards and commissions made up of citizen volunteers. These groups are responsible for a variety of functions, including parks & recreation, planning & zoning, tourism and more. Most boards and commissions meet monthly to discuss various projects, events, programs and other pertinent issues. Often the recommendations of the boards and commissions are presented to the City Council for final approval or adoption.

Most groups require applicants meet specific qualifications, and positions are appointed by the City Council. Follow the links to the left for more information on the function of these groups and also how you may volunteer to become a member.

The City of Cedar Park relies on the energy and community oriented citizens of the City. Without the help of committed citizens the City would not be able to function. Each Board and Commission plays a vital and significant role and helps to keep Cedar Park vital, responsive and responsible. This commitment is reflected in the service the citizens provide by serving on these various boards. These citizens who serve on these various boards volunteer the time necessary to improve the quality of life for everyone in Cedar Park.

The City of Cedar Park Boards, Commissions and Task Forces include:

*Only current City Council Members may be appointed to serve on the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority (BCRUA) and Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #1 (TIRZ) Boards.

Residents are always welcome to join us for City Council and other City Public Meetings.  If you would prefer to watch any of these meetings live from your home or on your personal device, please use our government access cable channel CPTV-10 in one of the following ways:

Public participation and comments are always welcome at our City Council and Boards/Commissions Meetings!
