Jim joined the City of Cedar Park in April of 2018. He currently serves as the Director of Information Services. Prior to joining the City of Cedar Park, he spent 30 years in the healthcare industry. During this tenure, Jim served as a clinician, Information Technology (IT) analyst, manager and Chief Information Officer (CIO), technical and operations consultant, facility operator/administrator, and health system executive/Chief Operations Officer (COO). His education includes a bachelor's in management from National-Louis University and a master's in management from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
After raising his three children through college in the Dallas area, Jim moved to Cedar Park to enjoy the natural beauty of the Hill Country. Outside of servicing the needs of the City and its Citizens, Jim can be found volunteering with one of his favorite charities or enjoying the best of the outdoors, sporting activities, food, music, or wine/beer/spirits the hill country region has to offer! And yes, if you recognize Jim's beard from recent City of Cedar Park social media campaigns, he is indeed the Water Utility Billing Department's "Most Interesting Man in Cedar Park."
