Eric Boyce was re-elected to serve on Place 4 of Cedar Park City Council in 2022. He was first elected in 2020.
A Dallas native and third-generation Texan, Eric is a 14-year resident of Cedar Park, currently residing in the Ranch at Brushy Creek subdivision. Eric has been married for 28 years to Joanne, and together they have two children, Natalie (22) and Jack (16). Eric is a local business owner, serving as the Co-founder and CEO of BKA Wealth Consulting, Inc. BKA Wealth provides individuals and their families with financial, wealth, and retirement planning, and provides various services for business owners, including business valuation, retirement plans, exit planning, and executive benefits. Eric has worked in finance, treasury management, investment research, portfolio management, and industrial real estate for almost 30 years. Prior to BKA Wealth, Eric served as Austin Director for a West Texas investment adviser, as senior portfolio manager for a local firm with $1.5 billion under management, and as Research Director for two other Texas-based registered investment advisers (RIA). He has extensive experience in security and financial analysis, portfolio strategy and management, business valuation, and private investments.
Eric earned his B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.S. in Management and Administrative Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas. Eric earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute and previously earned the designations of Chartered Investment Counselor (CIC) and Certified Cash Manager (CCM). He is past President of the CFA Society of Austin.
Eric is also very active in his community. He is past-President of the Economic Development (type 4A) Corporation for the City of Cedar Park and previously served as Chairman of the city's Planning and Zoning Commission. He also serves as Treasurer and Investment Committee Chair for the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Austin and is a senior member of the Investment Committee for the Ascension Seton Hospital Foundation (Seton Fund). He currently serves on the board of the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) and Catholic Charities of Central Texas (CCCTX), and previously served on the boards of St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School, LifeWorks, and Communities in Schools of Central Texas.
