The Resource Efficiency Division oversees four main areas of resource efficiency: Water, Solid Waste and Recycling, Air and Energy. The City of Cedar Park is proactive in addressing the environmental needs of our community. The City is striving to stay up to date with many programs, such as Cedar Park Conserves, that offer our citizens assistance in being environmentally friendly and using our precious natural resources wisely. W.I.S.E. Guys Residential Irrigation System Evaluations

The W.I.S.E. Guys residential program is a conservation service that is being offered to Cedar Park citizens.  The W.I.S.E. Guys residential program evaluates existing residential irrigation systems and makes recommendations for improvement to the performance of the system and to the scheduling of the controller to eliminate unnecessary waste.

The program allows face-to-face education with the homeowner on efficient irrigation and proper controller scheduling. With this one-on-one education program, we are able to begin changing the irrigation habits of homeowners.

The W.I.S.E. Guys contractor will evaluate the irrigation system and make recommendations to the consumer for improvement to the performance and scheduling of the system to eliminate unnecessary waste and save money on their water bills.

The W.I.S.E. Guys contractor will not make any repairs to the system. The service is an evaluation only. The W.I.S.E. Guys contractor will make the recommended adjustments to the system controller only if the customer allows such adjustments. In many instances the adjustment to the system controller is the first step to water conservation and lower water bills.

The homeowner is under no obligation to hire the W.I.S.E. Guys contractor to repair the problems found within their system.  You must reside within the City of Cedar Park city limits in order to participate.  You are under no obligation to make any suggested changes.
