Devin joined the Cedar Park Police Department in 2018 and currently serves as the Communications & Records Manager. She leads personnel and oversees operations in both the Communications and Records Divisions. Devin has been in the 9-1-1 Emergency Communications profession since 2002.
She became a Certified Telecommunications Operator in 2003, and earned both an Intermediate and Advanced Telecommunications Certificate in 2009. In 2014, Devin was awarded a Telecommunications Operator License by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and earned a Master Telecommunications Certificate the same year.
She spent 7 years of her career as a 9-1-1 Operations Coordinator for Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG), in which she was responsible for configuring, maintaining and validating the 9-1-1 call handling software. During her time at CAPCOG, Devin served as project manager for the 10 county, region-wide Text to 9-1-1 project and successfully deployed Text to 9-1-1 service to 29 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in 2017.
Devin is a TCOLE Basic Instructor, Certified Communications Training Officer (CTO), a member of the Association of Public Communications Officials (APCO), and a graduate of the 71st class of the Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP) by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA).
