Adam StoryAdam Story was appointed to the position of Assistant Fire Chief of Operations for the Cedar Park Fire Department in April 2013.

Assistant Chief Story joined the Cedar Park Fire Department, beginning as a Firefighter in July of 1998, working his way through the ranks as a Driver, and Fire Lieutenant. Assistant Chief Story was appointed to the position of Assistant Fire Chief in April 2013. Assistant Chief Story also served as the President of the Cedar Park Professional Fire Fighters Association for six years.

Assistant Chief Story is working on his Associate of Fire Science Degree from ACC, and upon completion, will pursue a Bachelor Degree in Emergency Management from West Texas A&M. Assistant Chief Story holds a Firefighters Certificate from the Austin Community College Fire Training School. He is certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as an Advanced Firefighter, Intermediate Fire Inspector, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Instructor II, and Fire Officer III & IV. He also holds an Emergency Medical Technician certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services, technician level certifications in swift water, Fire Service Executive Officer (FSCEO) certifications from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), and has also graduated from the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy.

Assistant Chief Story and his wife Monica live in Cedar Park with their two children.
