Cedar Park Police Investigating Buttercup Pool Incident

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at approximately 2:56 p.m., the Cedar Park Police Department responded to the Buttercup Pool at 411 Twin Oak Trail for a report of a possible drowning involving a child. Upon arrival, City lifeguards were engaged in life-saving measures which were supplemented by Cedar Park Fire and Police first responders.

 

The child was subsequently transported to the hospital where she was under care and succumbed to her injuries early this evening.

The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation.

 

On behalf of the City of Cedar Park, we extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to the child’s family and friends. If you have any
