Economic Development Projects

CPM Development, LLC plans to invest a minimum of $400 million to build a hotel and convention center anchored by a superregional retail and entertainment destination. At a minimum, the company plans to build:

  • A full-service, 250-room hotel
  • 30,000 square feet of convention space to be owned by the city 
  • 250,000 square feet of high-quality commercial development 
  • 500,000 square feet for an NFM (Nebraska Furniture Mart) retail store 
  • 700,000 square feet of warehouse space to service the NFM retail store
  • Located on land behind H-E-B Center, along the north side of New Hope Drive
  • Construction could start in 2024; NFM has announced it tentatively plans to open in 2025
