Victim Services

Providing the best possible service to victims of crime is the goal of this program. Those services include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct assistance to victims of violent crime, robbery, sexual assault, family violence, or child abuse
  • Creating Safety Plans for those victims of Domestic Violence or Child Abuse that will provide them a more safe and secure environment
  • Provide education and counseling to prevent “re-victimization” by providing victims with the knowledge and skills they need to escape the “cycle of violence”
  • Giving insight to victims as to what they should expect as their case is processed through the criminal justice system
  • Referring victims to other available social services agencies and continuing support
  • Assisting victims with the filing of Compensation Claims through the State of Texas Victim’s Compensation Program
  • Developing a Volunteer base that would be available for “on call” response to the victim at the scene of the crime
