Community Services Division
Community Services oversees several assignments and community programs for the Police Department. Many of the programs, projects, and work groups that result from a police and community partnership are managed and facilitated by this Division.

Criminal Investigations Division
The Criminal Investigations Division (C.I.D.) completes all follow-up investigations on reports initiated and generated by the Patrol Division. C.I.D. also provides investigative assistance to the uniform officers on a twenty-four hour basis by having "on call" Detectives equipped and capable of an immediate on-scene response if requested.

Crime Prevention
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is an old adage that holds true for community crime suppression. Officers use training and share skills to help you improve the security around your home or business. Sharing information is key to crime prevention, so law enforcement and the public must disseminate and share information that can help “harden the target” and reduce the risk of victimization. Public Safety Communications Division
The Cedar Park Public Safety Communications Division works in a state-of-the-art Communications Center serving the citizens of Cedar Park with innovation and professionalism.

School Resource Officers (SRO)
Schools located in Cedar Park are part of the Leander Independent School District system. With seven Elementary Schools, three Middle Schools, and two High Schools, our relationship with the School District is an important part of our community partnerships. The primary function of the School Resource Officer is to provide an on-campus presence to reduce the fear of crime and provide security for students, faculty, and staff.

Victim Services
Providing the best possible service to victims of crime is the goal of this program. Those services include, but are not limited to: Providing direct assistance to victims of violent crime, robbery, sexual assault, family violence or child abuse; Creating Safety Plans for those victims of Domestic Violence or Child Abuse that will provide them a more safe and secure environment

Volunteer Services
With a limited budget and a growing City to contend with, the Police Department recognizes and values its Volunteer resources. Many of the above mentioned programs, as well as other Divisions within the Department need the help of community volunteers to provide all necessary services to the public.
