Four new connections/extensions have been completed as of February 2020:
- West Extension: Extensions between Little Elm Trail and Bell Boulevard
- YMCA Connection: Extensions between Bell Boulevard to the Twin Lakes YMCA
- Internal Connection: Internal connection to a drinking fountain and restroom facilities at the Twin Lakes YMCA
- Lake Connection: New Connection To Brushy Creek Road near Parmer Lane
- Reconstruction of Anderson Mill Road from just south of Gaspar Bend to Ranch to Market Road (RM) 1431
The New Hope Drive extension project provides additional capacity for traffic traveling east and west through the City:
- Construction of four lanes from Cottonwood Creek Trail to Ronald Reagan
- Construction of a raised median
- Construction of a 10 foot shared use path along southern side of the roadway
- Installation of street lighting
- Installation of signal at the Ronald Reagan intersection
- Installation of new water and wastewater lines
- Extension of Arrow Point Drive
Construction to widen RM 1431 between Cottonwood Creek Trail and Market Street, known as the 1431 Gap Project is complete. TX Department of Transportation managed all aspects of the design and construction of this project.
This project closes gaps in existing sidewalk across the City.

- Iris Lane north of Heather Lane
- Giddens Elementary: 2-ramps

- Town Center pedestrian ramps at diamond intersection of Alamo Plaza and Enchanted Rock
- El Salido Parkway at Heather Drive
- East Park Street ramp relocation at Gadwall Lane
- Buttercup Creek Boulevard west of Bell Boulevard fronting The Commons shopping center
The Little Elm Trail project was completed in January 2017. It provides drivers an additional east-west route between Bell Boulevard (U.S. Highway 183) and Lakeline Boulevard.
The City of Cedar Park, Williamson County and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) officially "cut the ribbon" on the 1431 Pass-Through Project on November 16, 2016. This transportation project, which is a partnership among the City, the County and TxDOT, is the most significant in Cedar Park history.
