Mission

Appointed by the Cedar Park City Council, the city manager is the chief administrative officer for the City. The manager is responsible for achieving the goals and implementing the policies of the City Council, which emphasize community, service, and fiscal responsibility. The manager works closely with the City Council on identifying the priorities of our residents, businesses, and visitors. The manager, along with the city management staff, provides professional leadership and direction for the day-to-day operations of this dynamic full-service city.

Brenda Eivens

Brenda Eivens has served as City Manager of the City of Cedar Park since her appointment by the City Council in January 2006. She initially joined the City in 1996 at the start of unprecedented community growth and has served in many roles prior to being named as City Manager, including Assistant City Manager, Director of Human Resources and Civil Services, and Human Resources Coordinator. Before coming to Cedar Park, Brenda began her career in the public sector at the University of Texas at Austin Office of Human Resources for three and a half years working in employment, compensation, and employee relations. Katherine Woerner Caffrey

Katherine Woerner Caffrey has served the City of Cedar Park as Deputy City Manager since 2022. In this position, she oversees the City's departments of Human Resources, Police, Fire, Emergency Management/Homeland Security, and Engineering/Capital Projects.

Prior to her role as Deputy City Manager, Caffrey served as Assistant City Manager from 2015 to 2022, and the City's Director of Community Affairs from 2012 to 2015, overseeing the City's Media and Communications Office, Emergency Management Division, the Cedar Park Public Library, Legislative Affairs, and Resource Efficiency Division, as well as other issues of community interest. Caffrey previously served as the City's Utilities Program Manager from 2010 to 2011 and the Assistant to the City Manager from 2007 to 2010. Prior to joining the City of Cedar Park, she worked for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas as the Management Analyst from 2005 to 2007. Learn more about Katherine and her role as Deputy City Manager.

Chris Copple

Chris Copple joined the City Manager's Office as an Assistant City Manager in 2020. In this position, he oversees the City's departments of Development Services, Finance, Public Works, and Utility Administration.

Prior to his role as Assistant City Manager, Copple served as the City's Director of Development Services from 2014 to 2020. He previously worked for the Town of Prosper, Texas, as the Director of Development Services. Learn more about Chris and his role as Assistant City Manager

Beau Falgout headshot

Beau Falgout has served as Assistant City Manager since 2023. In this position, he oversees the City’s departments of Community Affairs, Information Services, Library, Municipal Court, and Parks and Recreation.

Prior to his role as Assistant City Manager, Falgout served as Assistant Town Manager for the Town of Mooresville, North Carolina from 2020 to 2023 and oversaw Building Permitting & Inspections, Library, Parks & Recreation, Planning & Community Development, and Technology & Innovation. Falgout started his public service career in Palm Coast, Florida as a Planner and from 2007-2020 gained several promotions at the City of Palm Coast, eventually becoming the Assistant City Manager and Interim City Manager as well.
