In the spirit of transparency in policing, one of the goals of the Cedar Park Police Department is to provide our community with access to our most frequently requested forms, policies, and procedures.

Policies and procedures are often referred to as general orders, directives, and rules that all CPPD members must follow in carrying out the mission of the Department. They provide direction for how an officer, or civilian, should handle different situations that arise. The policies that we have made available to the public are the exact policies distributed to all CPPD employees. When changes are made to our policies they will be included on this site as they are issued. In police work, like many other professions, it is not possible to anticipate every situation that may arise or to prescribe a specific course of action in each scenario, therefore we expect all employees to exercise common sense and good judgment.
