Animal adoptions are handled by the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. Animals to be considered for adoption will first be evaluated by a trained animal service technician for their temperament, interaction with other animals and people, health, and overall condition. Rescue groups interested in particular animals or breeds will be contacted when that type or breed of animal is available.
Animals are available for viewing at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. The application is reviewed by the Animal Shelter Staff. If the application is approved, the city collects an adoption fee of $85 which covers the procedures listed below, and are completed prior to the new owner taking possession of their animal:
• Anti-Parasitic Treatment
• Disease Testing
• Health Exam
• Microchip Implant
