As part of the City of Cedar Park's continued commitment to customer service, a random sample of Cedar Park residents were surveyed in the spring of 2021. Out of a scientific sample of 3,000 households, 351 households returned surveys. There is a five percent margin of error. The 2021 survey serves as an update to the 2019 survey and gives the City an opportunity to compare 2021 ratings with 2019 ratings. Major themes of the survey results include:
Cedar Park continues to be a highly desirable place to live
Residents give high marks to City's economic environment, feeling of public safety, and quality of parks and recreation operations
Continued concerns with mobility (ease of getting to places visited regularly), diversity and inclusion, cost of living, and arts and culture within the City of Cedar Park
Areas of decline, such as resident involvement, connection with the community, and ability to attend events, are partially driven by the pandemic.
