Animal Control
The Department's Animal Control Team is committed to protecting domestic animals from abuse and neglect and protecting citizens from dangerous animals.

Community Services Division
Community Services oversees several assignments and community programs for the Police Department. Many of the programs, projects and work groups that result from a police and community partnership are managed and facilitated by this Division.

Training Division
All prospective attendees of any training hosted by the Cedar Park Police Department must be in good standing with their respective agency, if applicable, and must also be in good standing with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Generally, Cedar Park Police training will be open to licensed peace officers, jailers, telecommunicators, elected officials, and civilian law enforcement employees.

Operations Bureau
The primary duty of the Patrol Division officer is to respond to calls for police service and provide a proactive presence in an effort to prevent crime. Since marked patrol cars moving through the city is not enough to completely prevent crime, a strong emphasis has been placed on the Community Policing philosophy. The Cedar Park Patrol Officers seek to develop partnerships with the public to promote crime prevention, solve problems, and respond to incidents of crime more effectively.

Part-Time Specialty Units
Central Texas Regional SWAT (CTRS) is a specialty police unit tasked with responding to dangerous and complex police situations. The team is comprised of members from the Cedar Park Police Department, the Leander Police Department, and the Georgetown Police Department, and includes the positions of tactical operator and crisis negotiator.

The Cedar Park Police Department Patrol Division plays a vital public safety role. Patrol officers respond to calls for service for everything from minor traffic collisions to major incidents like crimes in progress.

Victim Services Division
The Cedar Park Police Department Victim Services Division is committed to protecting the rights and providing services to victims of violent crime. Our primary goal is to minimize the trauma that can occur as a result of a criminal act. We work with victims to address those issues through crisis intervention, advocacy, education and information referral.
