Outdoor Education Programs

Looking to learn how to kayak? Maybe you're interested in picking up fishing or archery? This is the place to find upcoming outdoor education and outdoor recreation opportunities here in Cedar Park. Below you will find classes and opportunities for the whole family.

Hooked on Fishing

Get hooked on fishing with Cedar Park Parks & Recreation! Youth will be taught a traditional tackle fishing method. Use one of our rods or bring your own. Children under 12 years old will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Kayak Rentals

Visitors of Lakeline Park and Brushy Creek Lake Park have access to kayak rentals through The Mobile Kayak. Kayak rentals are $15 per hour for a single kayak; and $20 per hour for a tandem kayak. Children under 50 lbs. are allowed to ride on the lap of an adult. Waivers must be signed.


Kayak Workshops

Meet us at Brushy Creek Lake Park for a kayaking adventure! Participants will learn fundamentals of kayaking, parts of the kayak, how to board, and principles of paddling. Children under 11 years old will need to be in a tandem kayak with an adult.

            9:00 - 11:00 am; 12:00 - 2:00 pm

Fees: $20 for solo; $30 for tandem
