Training and Exercises

Cedar Park HSEM hosts a variety of incident management training, drills, and exercises each year to validate capabilities, establish common terminology and procedures, and foster relationships between City departments, regional partners, and non-governmental organizations. Cedar Park HSEM uses the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) which provides a national standard for exercise design, development, evaluation, and improvement planning. The City of Cedar Park has formally adopted the National Incident Management System since 2004.
