Update: Cedar Park Lifts Mandatory Outdoor Watering & Non-Essential Watering Restriction
Update: The City of Cedar Park is no longer under a mandatory outdoor watering and non-essential water use restriction. The water transmission line that was damaged on Tuesday has been repaired and placed back into service. The public may begin to use water as they normally would. City officials will be relaxing enforcement of the mandatory watering schedule through Sunday, June 17. Beginning on Monday, June 18, normal enforcement efforts of the mandatory watering schedule will resume.
On June 12, 2012, a construction company building a residential development at Lakeline Boulevard and Buttercup Creek Boulevard damaged a 36” water transmission line located in Lakeline Boulevard. Alternate transmission lines are being utilized to supply water throughout the city, but the damage to this major line greatly reduces the available capacity of the system. Currently there are no customers without water service due to this incident.
The City of Cedar Park would like to thank the public for their compliance with the temporary restriction.
