Due to sustained low lake levels, the City of Cedar Park entered Stage 3 once a week Watering Restrictions on August 1, 2013. 

The mandatory schedule is as follows:

Please note that drip irrigation and soaker hoses are exempt from the watering schedule and are permitted for use at all times

Water customers east of Lakeline Boulevard:

If you are a commercial customer, you may water on Friday before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

If you are a residential customer with an "odd" numbered address, you may water on Saturday before 10 a.m.. and after 7 p.m... 

If you are a residential customer with an "even" numbered address, you may water on Sunday before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Water Customers west of Lakeline Boulevard and customers in Blockhouse Creek:

If you are a commercial customer, you may water on Tuesday before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

If you are a residential customer with an "odd" numbered address, you may water on Wednesday before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

If you are a residential customer with an "even" numbered address, you may water on Thursday before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Variances

The City of Cedar Park may grant temporary variances for existing water uses if it is determined that failure to grant such a variance  would cause an emergency condition adversely affecting the health, sanitation, or fire protection for the public. Article 18.08

Enforcement

The City's Drought Contingency Plan Ordinance includes an administrative fining process to assist with enforcement efforts. The City enforces water restrictions with administrative fines which are added to violators’ utility bills. If a customer has a general inquiry about the restrictions or the fining process, they may call 512-401-5308.

The fine schedule is as follows:

Need to Report Water Waste?

If you'd like to report water waste in our community, please call the anonymous Water Conservation Hotline at 512.401.5308 or email conservation@cedarparktexas.gov with details of the alleged water violator.

Only designated City Staff may issue citations for water waste.  However, when waste is reported from the community, the alleged water violator will receive an educational postcard in the mail informing them of the watering schedule and that water waste has been reported on the property.  If an alleged water violator continues to waste water, City Staff will begin additional patrol in the area until the issue is resolved.
